Spectrum

A spectrum is a range of different but related things, often used to describe a continuous distribution of values, properties, or phenomena. In physics, the term most commonly refers to the distribution of electromagnetic radiation according to frequency or wavelength, such as the visible light spectrum, which includes all the colors of light that humans can see. In a broader sense, the term can also apply to various contexts, such as a spectrum of opinions, emotions, abilities, or conditions, indicating that there are varying degrees or types along a continuum. The concept of a spectrum emphasizes diversity and the idea that categories are often not discrete but rather part of a more extensive, overlapping range.
