NFC Wearables

NFC wearables refer to electronic devices that are worn on the body and utilize Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. NFC is a set of communication protocols that allow two electronic devices, usually mobile devices, to exchange data when they are close to each other, typically within a distance of about 4 inches (10 cm). Wearables equipped with NFC technology can include smartwatches, fitness trackers, augmented reality glasses, and smart rings.The primary functions of NFC wearables often involve enabling contactless transactions, such as mobile payments, by allowing users to simply tap their wearable device against a compatible payment terminal. They can also facilitate the sharing of data between devices, such as exchanging digital business cards, connecting to Bluetooth devices, or accessing information encoded in NFC tags. In addition to payments, NFC wearables may provide functionalities related to health tracking, notifications, and access control, enhancing convenience and functionality for users in everyday activities.
