ALS

ALS stands for "Active Learning System." In computer science and artificial intelligence, it refers to a system or framework that actively selects the most informative data points from a dataset to be labeled or trained on. The main objective of an ALS is to improve the model’s performance with fewer training samples by focusing on the examples that are likely to provide the most significant insights. This contrasts with passive learning methods, where the model learns from a randomly selected set of data points. Active learning is particularly useful in scenarios where labeling data is expensive or time-consuming, as it enables more efficient use of resources by prioritizing the most relevant information for model training.
