Pixel

A pixel, short for "picture element," is the smallest unit of a digital image or display that can be represented and displayed. It is typically a single point in a raster graphic, represented by its color and intensity. Pixels are arranged in a grid to form images on screens, such as computer monitors, televisions, and smartphones. The resolution of an image or display is often described by the number of pixels it contains, such as 1920x1080, which indicates the width and height in pixels. Each pixel contributes to the overall visual quality, and the more pixels there are, the greater the detail and clarity of the image. In digital imaging, pixels are fundamental in determining how images are created, stored, and displayed.
